EASTHAM BOARD OF HIGHWAY SURVEYORS
8 December 2010
MINUTES
MEMBERS PRESENT: David Maynard and Pamela Andersen
OTHERES PRESENT: Neil Andres
DPW Update:
- Planning Board approved the subdivision plan for Sandy Meadow.
- The Town has appointed a part time Town Planner, Patrice Carson from CT.
- Finishing up patching on Alston and Massasoit
- Spring drainage projects planned for:
- Thorne Road (off Nauset Rd)
- Salt Pond
- Kingsbury beach.
- This winter will work on a paving list for the spring/summer
- Old County road (behind Poits) is going to Town Council
- Hay/Hoffman Meeting: Neighbors said that when they purchased their homes Hoffman was the way into the subdivision. The DPW gets calls on the condition of Hoffman regularly. No calls about hay unless work is done there. Results of meeting seemed to be leave hay alone and work on Hoffman. Hoffman would be a taking. Need a right of way survey done. Possible perpetual easement for conservation Foundation piece. Next meeting with Selectmen we need to go and propose what we feel should happen. If work is done on Hay, would need to pave between Governor Prence and Woodland. Our opinion would be to improve Hay between Governor Prence and Woodland and improve/fix Hoffman. Hoffman is the primary entrance to the subdivision and only 1 neighbor has spoken
against this. This would allow for 2 entrance/exits from the area. If only 1 can be done then do the work on Hoffman.
Administrative Business:
- Minutes from November 10 approved.
- 2 gas permits signed off.
Meeting Adjourned at 12:00. Next meeting 12/22/10.
Respectfully submitted,
Pamela Andersen
